Time… is ever transient. Everything around us is transforming at different speeds. Some aspects of our environment last for decades, others for a fraction of a millisecond. When we view our world, we observe a unique combination of moments that will never be repeated. The mountains and lakes may still be there tomorrow, but the clouds and the animals will have moved on and the plants will continue along their annual cycle of life. Even the mountains will eventually have to accept the effects of time, some slowly being worn down by the weather, others will be lifted up or quickly brought down by geological upheavals.
Photography... is the art of capturing select moments in time. The result is a historical record of where we have come from, what we have achieved and lost along the way. The images provide clarity as to what actually happened, rather than what we wanted or failed to see. After all 'a picture is worth a 1000 words'.
