A difficult stages in my life was the result of a back injury.  The injury really limited the activities.  Hiking mountains carrying camera gear to take wildlife photos was not an option.  So I bought a macro lens and spent many hours in the neighborhood gardens, where I captured many of these images.  I credit photography for keeping me active during this time.  I also believe the movement, while taking pictures, helped my back recover without surgery.  On reviewing the original MRI results the Radiologist, Chiropractor and Back Surgeon were surprised I was still able to walk.
